Installation of NEON® ONE / KRYPTON® ONE (Video Guide)

This article explains how to install NEON® ONE with KRYPTON® ONE using a compact step-by-step workflow and video.

Prerequisites

  • Suitable mounting surface for the pre-assembled PVC panel
  • Water inlet and outlet prepared
  • Power supply available (AC 100-240 V or 24 V DC depending on version)
  • Ethernet/network connection available (if required on site)
  • All sensors and NODEs are complete and undamaged

System Variants and Delivery Scope

  • KRYPTON® ONE Compact: Integrated unit with up to 6 measurement inputs and module slots for I/O.
  • KRYPTON® ONE Hub: Same base functionality plus additional relay expansion via HUB.
  • System is delivered pre-assembled on PVC panels with accessories: sensors, NODEs, spacers, and documentation.

Installation Steps (Video Sequence)

1) Mount the Unit

  1. Unpack the pre-assembled PVC panel(s) and prepare all loose cables.
  2. Loosen wrapped NODE and power cables and route them through the opening as shown in the video.
  3. Insert spacers into the pre-drilled panel holes with slots facing forward to create rear cable clearance.
  4. Mount panels vertically to the wall using the provided mounting points.
  5. Panel drilling distances: 270 mm horizontal320 mm vertical.

2) Connect Water Lines

  1. Connect water inlet and outlet to STABIFLOW® ONE.
  2. Close the sampling tap before startup.
  3. Observe pressure limits: min. 0.5 barmax. 6 bar.
  4. Ensure minimum flow rate: 35 l/h.
  5. Check flow direction arrows on the assembly.

3) Connect NODE Cables and Ethernet

  1. NODE cables are pre-connected to the NEON® ONE core side; connect each cable to its NODE.
  2. Tighten the union nut on each NODE cable connection.
  3. Route Ethernet cable through the core housing opening and connect to the correct port.

4) Connect Power Supply

  1. Connect the pre-installed power cable to the intended power source.
  2. Switch on the system and wait for startup to complete.

5) Insert Sensors into STABIFLOW® ONE

  1. Insert ZIRKON® ONE sensors into the designated chambers and tighten securely.
  2. Align white markers on sensor heads to the front for easier NODE placement.
  3. Install the DIS sensor in the outer right chamber as shown, especially for automatic cleaning setups.

6) Attach NODEs to Sensors and Start Water Flow

  1. Turn on water flow.
  2. Place NODEs on sensor heads one by one until they lock audibly and mechanically.
  3. Align NODE orientation mark/logo with sensor head markers.

If NODE LED Is Red: Define Sensor Group

  1. Login as service user (code 1818).
  2. Open Settings > Sensor Group.
  3. Edit or add the missing sensor group assignment.
  4. Confirm flow sensor and apply requested calibration handling prompts.
  5. Return to manager user (code 1612).

Note: Sensor groups are usually pre-configured at delivery and this step is only needed if a sensor is not detected.


Calibration Notes from the Video

Optional two-point pH calibration

  1. Use manager login and connect pH sensor.
  2. Calibrate first in pH 7 buffer, then in pH 4 (or selected second buffer).
  3. Rinse and dry sensor between buffers.
  4. If no integrated temperature probe is present, set manual temperature compensation.

DIS water sample calibration (commissioning phase)

  1. First correct temperature and activate relevant compensation modes.
  2. Go to DIS sensor calibration and start water sample routine.
  3. Take sample promptly via sampling tap; discard first three samples.
  4. Measure reference with photometer (DPD No.1 method as shown).
  5. Enter value and validate: green = accepted, orange = likely incorrect, red = failed.

Note: Electrical connections must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
