Installing a Y-strainer Before Your Analyzer – Krypton® Multi

A y-strainer is an inexpensive and simple solution to help prevent process contaminants from clogging your Argon StabiFlow® or flow cell.

1. Select your sample line tubing.

2. Buy 1/2″  male thread fitting to accept whatever size tubing you selected.

3. Wrap plumbing tape around the threads of the fittings to ensure a good seal.

4. Thread your fittings onto the y-strainer.

5. Plumb the tubing into your fitting, making sure the direction of flow through the y-strainer is correct (indicated by an arrow on the y-strainer).
