Installing a Y-strainer
A y-strainer is an inexpensive and simple solution to help prevent process contaminants from clogging your Argon StabiFlow® or flow cell.
- Select your sample line tubing.
- Buy 1/2″ male thread fitting to accept whatever size tubing you selected.
- Wrap plumbing tape around the threads of the fittings to ensure a good seal.
- Thread your fittings onto the y-strainer.
- Plumb the tubing into your fitting, making sure the direction of flow through the y-strainer is correct (indicated by an arrow on the y-strainer).
